Relocating to a new city or just moving across town can be a tough process, especially when it comes to finding a new apartment that has the amenities you want and the right location. Here are some of the best places to live in downtown Austin right now.

1. 404 Rio Grande

404 Rio Grande is a gorgeous apartment building with a centralized location downtown. The neighborhood is incredibly walkable, located near upscale shops and restaurants and just a couple blocks from lively Republic Square. The apartment building features a clubhouse, courtyard, firepit, gym, and pool, covering the essentials of urban living. Pets are allowed here for an additional fee.

The apartments have nice features as well, including air-conditioning for those hot Texas summers, dishwashers, and washer/dryer hookups, but they also have more luxury features like granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and walk-in closets. The spacious interiors are just as eye-catching as the exterior, plus many units have wonderful views of downtown. Apartments range in price from $1,860 for one bedroom/one bath to $2,800 for two bedroom/two bath units.

2. The Beverly at Medical Center

Located in the Red River Cultural District, The Beverly at Medical Center is just a few blocks from the Texas State Capitol with easy access to I-35. For those who enjoy time outdoors, the apartment building also has great access to the Waller Creek Greenbelt Trail.

The apartment building includes a pool, gym, bike storage, dog park, and valet trash service in its amenities. Some apartments have excellent views of Waller Creek. These apartments are pet-friendly with some restrictions.

Although the exterior of the building itself is more vintage than modern, the interiors are up-to-date with all the modern necessities, including air-conditioning, dishwasher, in-unit laundry, and a patio or balcony. These units have been recently and very stylishly renovated. Apartments here rent for $1,545 for a one bedroom/one bath unit to $2,245 for a 2 bedroom/2.5 bath unit.

3. Windsor on the Lake

Located in the Rainey Street Historic District, Windsor on the Lake has some of the best views in Austin, including the city skyline and Colorado River. The neighborhood is quiet, yet walkable with access to restaurants and the Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail along the river. There are also plentiful green spaces.

The apartment building includes features like a pool, car charging, bike storage, 24-hour gym, and clubhouse and coffee bar with Starbucks coffee. Windsor on the Lake prides itself on being a green community. An Austin city B-Cycle Station is adjacent to the building. The community is pet-friendly with some restrictions.

The apartments are very large and include great features, such as air-conditioning, dishwashers, in-unit laundry, patios or balconies, and walk-in closets. Some units are furnished. The apartments also feature granite counters, stainless steel appliances, and plenty of natural light. West-facing units have city and sunset views that are amazing.

Apartments rent for $1,650 for one bedroom/one bath units and up to $3,105 for two bedroom/one bath units.
